In the late 1990s, Gavin Bain and Billy Boyd had their musical ambitions consistently ridiculed for having the 'wrong' accents, so they went for broke and reinvented themselves as Californian rappers. The duo re-recorded their own tracks with fake accents and turned up in London claiming to be an established duo on the Cali scene as well as childhood friends with Eminem. They quickly bagged themselves a record deal, a hefty sum in advances, and an appearance on MTV... until it all came crashing down.

Join us for a special screening of Death Becomes Her (1992), the iconic dark comedy. Funny, sharp, and endlessly quotable, it's a celebration of camp cinema and the pressures of beauty, ageing, and perfection. We'll also be celebrating the film's recent return to pop culture, including its influence on Sabrina Carpenter's latest music video, with a short feature before the screening and a few fun surprises throughout the afternoon.
Join us August 13 at Coldharbour Blue for a summer social and a screening of Point Break! 🌊 Arrive from 7:00 pm to mingle at the bar, then settle in for a cozy cinema experience of a '90s summer classic. The film starts at 8:00 pm.
